Beatrice Boyle initially gained recognition at her London College of Fashion degree show at the Royal Academy in 2008.
In the two years since, Beatrice has collaborated with Browns Focus on a collection of pieces printed with her work, worked with American Rag Cie and Dazed Japan and had a series of exclusive pieces of work featured in Elle.
Having studied BA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins previous to her degree at London College of Fashion, Beatrice is immersed in both the worlds of Art and Fashion. She initially started working in this recognisable method using found images, ripped from glossy fashion magazines and advertising campaigns, flawless images of models were destroyed by the paint, creating an aesthetic and subtext entirely different from the original depiction of glamour and intent to evoke desire in the viewer in order to sell commodities.
In recent work Beatrice has used her own photography as the initial point for her paintings, selecting the model and constructing the image entirely, adding another process to the method by which she makes her work.
The artist’s work has gained significant press in the UK and Internationally, including features in Harper’s, Grazia, The Sunday Times Style, Plastique, Dazed & Confused and Elle and Vogue online.
